Wet and Windy visit to Thornton Manor

Our first wedding shoot of 2007 is on Saturday 14th April at Thornton Manor on the Wirral for our very good friends Sarah and Nolan and as with all places where we havent shot at previously we needed to have a trip there prior to the wedding which is what we did last Sunday.

We got to the venue just before Sarah and Nolan arrived and were very impressed right from the off with how beautiful the house and its surrounding grounds were, everything is very well maintained by the staff there. Your assured of a very warm welcome from Philip and Diane when you visit the manor and it was great to have a chat with them and find out some of the history behind the house.

When Sarah and Nolan arrived the weather was still a very British Wet and Windy, both with a capital W so we decided to have a look around the inside of the house first and hope that the weather would break for us (it never did though).

The room where the civil ceremony will be held is stunning.

In front of one of the many open fires the house had to offer was definitely the best place to be on Sunday with the rain falling and the wind driving it at you sideways.

The weather never did actually break but Sarah and Nolan bravely volunteered to show us round the grounds which were just as nice as the inside of the house.

Looking forward to April the 14th guys, weve got our fingers and toes crossed for better weather but I am sure with the venue that you have chosen it will be a fanastic day no matter what!
