Finally got my Virgin London Marathon entry in

The websites been dead as door nail all today but at 1:15am it sprang back to life, probably as most of the UK were tucked up in bed. I seem to recall last year having to wait even later than that for it to work so this years not been too bad and it was definitely a slicker entry process this year and the websites looking much better so definitely not all bad.

Bequeathed my entrance fee again this year which supposedly gives me a crack at another 1,000 places if I don’t make it in via the main ballot and a free training top to add to my ever growing collection if I don’t get a place, looks like they are Virgin red this year which make a nice change to the blue ones of the last few years.

It’s a waiting game now until October when everyone who entered via the ballot finds out if they have got a place but as soon as my great physio John Amed has fixed my damaged foot I will start my training in earnest and if I don’t get a place in the Virgin London Marathon then I think I will run the Shakespeare marathon which is usually around the same time of year (same day even this year) and just down the road from me.

Any bets the website will fall over again in the morning? glad mines done now anyway.
