NEC Wedding Show

I cant believe its been two weeks since the National Wedding Show at the NEC, it feels more like two days ago that we were there and I guess part of that is because it was a pretty mad weekend for us all and then we’ve been busy following up on things since the show.

It was our first time doing a major wedding show like this and despite all the hard work involved with the Thursday setup day and breaking everything down again and packing it up on Sunday evening we had a great time.

Big thanks go out to mine and Jon’s wives, Kate and Danielle for all the help they gave over the weekend, and doubly so for Saturday when Jon and I disappeared off for the day to photograph Lisette and Maxims great wedding so along with Kate’s sister Beanie and our friend Rachel they were left on their own manning the stand for the day and everyone did a fantastic job  so big thanks for your help gals! Other thanks also must go out to my father in law Max who called in on Thursday night whilst we were in the middle of major set up hassles and really helped us out and made sure we were ready for the doors opening to the public the next day, definitely wouldn’t have had everything assembled in time without your help so thanks again Max.

Overall the most pleasing aspect of the weekend was how busy the show was.  I was pleasantly surprised at how many people showed up on Friday considering it was a work day and then Saturday and Sunday were both complete sell outs and just crazy for most of the day which is great to see at the moment with all the negative press regards the economy.

I lost track of how many lovely brides, grooms, bridesmaids, mother of brides, grandmas, aunts and friends etc. that we spoke to during the show but it must have been well over a thousand judging by how many info. packs we went through. We had some fantastic feedback about our new Queensberry Wedding Albums during the course of the weekend and I look forward to sharing some pics of those on the blog in the coming weeks, they really are stunning.

Anyway I thinks thats plenty of waffle for now from me so I will end this post with a photo of our stand and a big thanks again to everyone that came to see us over the weekend and all the people involved in helping us out during the show.
