Jon and Daniele have sent me another update from their honeymoon in NZ so here’s some more great photos and a few words from Jon on what they have been up to.
So when I last wrote we were camped in Fox Glacier! As we continued down south through the west coast towards Lake Wanaka we went through some amazing scenery! We stopped off on route to either trek through rain forests or on the coast to enjoy the amazing bays.
I took a few shots from some of our treks and gorges that we crossed on route!
Lake Wanaka was amazing; I can see why Mr. Selby double ticked when he showed me his itinerary! A fantastic lake surrounded by mountains…We spent a couple of nights in Lake Wanaka and enjoyed a few lake side walks and the local Puzzle world attraction with it’s mind bending puzzles and rooms!
The weather has been changing very rapidly and on one of our lakeside walks you can see a shot of the rain that chased us round the lake! Unfortunately the shot does not do it justice!
From Lake Wanaka we continued further south to Te Anau where we spent the night and visited the glow worm caves! I managed to take a couple of shots as we walked into the limestone caves and the waterfall inside… unfortunately you are not allowed to take photos of the thousands of glow worms that light the cave as you take a boat deeper underground into the caves! WoW!
After Te Anau we then headed round the end of one mountain range and drove north to Milford Sounds. There we went on a fantastic fiord Cruise. … On route to the sounds we had some breath taking and heart stopping (if your driving) gorges and valleys with some amazing rain forests!
Milford Sounds lived up to it’s name as being one of the wettest locations in the world! Again some amazing scenery but very difficult to take any photos without getting the camera wet! On one of the shots I dropped the camera in the water but luckily managed to get a great shot of a fish
That afternoon and night we got 25cm of rain! We enjoyed an amazing thunderstorm that night as we stopped in Te Anau on our way back north! Not only a thunderstorm, we are pretty sure we felt 3 of the 100 mini earth tremors that this region gets a day. In our large camper van it was really easy to feel when the ground moves.
We are now camped up in Queenstown for the next 4 days to chill out and take in some of the local attractions! This evening we will be enjoying the steam ship with evening meal TSS Earnslaw and an evening meal on Walter Peak Country farm (thanks Dad!) followed tomorrow by Jet Boat and Funyak Safari up the Dart River!
Will keep you all posted! – Keep Warm!
Love and hugs to all family and friends!

That leaning tower is pretty awesome.
ebphoto | photographe mariage Bruxelles - All very nice images! But man, that first one! Absolutely stunning!
Nick - Thanks James, I cant claim any credit (except for editing them for him) as Jon (the other half of Boundless Photos) took all these whilst on honeymoon, he is a long time fan of Ansel Adams work so his landscapes are always very good.
James Morton - Nick, these landscape photos are totally awesome!
I like the fun photos of the leaning building too!
Matt Sanderson - It looks amazing there. Regret never getting to see NZ. Enjoying the photos and the updates!
