Back home again

I arrived back home a couple of hours ago and thankfully my checked luggage also made it successfully through the airport in Paris and whilst I was sat waiting for my flight I was looking through some of the images that we shot right at the end of the night at last weeks wedding of Hannah and Rhys up in Cheshire.

Because we were also guests at this wedding as well as covering the wedding photography we were there right at the end of the night (early hours of the morning actually) and although we had packed most of our gear away so we could have a few drinks we did leave the fisheye out on one body and our remote lights up so here’s a few from right at the end of the night.

Bear in mind that all these apart from the first once were all shot with a 15mm Fisheye lens on a full frame body (5D MKII) so will look quite “bendy” but its a great fun lens for capturing a whole scene.

I have clothes again!

Yup my case turned up tonight, and it felt really good to have all those essential things again like my own toothbrush and other toiletries as well as clean clothes….. to celebrate I went out for dinner and here’s a few pics from the walk to the restaurant, Valencia really does have some amazingly stunning buildings!

Because I am over here for IT work (only 5 days left in the day job now!) I didn’t bring a “proper” camera with me so these pics are pretty terrible quality taken with my Blackberry, never regretted not bringing my 5D MKII and 15mm Fisheye as much as I did this evening

Hannah and Rhys Wedding in Cheshire

We’ve been up in Cheshire today shooting our friends Hannah and Rhys’s wedding and had a lot of fun in the process, the weather has challenged us a couple of times during the day but its definitely been an improvement on what it was yesterday when we were driving up in torrential rain so we are very thankful for that.

Because we were shooting a friends wedding that we were also guests at we have had a few beers at the end of the night once we had finished shooting so I will spare my usual waffle and just post some pics from the day, and if any look a bit squiffy then that’s probably down to the few pints of Stella at the end of the night and no doubt we will have a better shot to choose from once my eyes can focus again.

Big thanks to Hannah and Rhys for letting us be part of their big day!

Edit : I nearly managed to get these posted last night but had a few issues uploading the pictures and eventually fell asleep mid post, sorted the issues this morning so here’s the pics a few hours later than intended!

Edit2 : Seems like I messed up in my rush to get the pics posted this morning and some of the portrait pics were being warped by the blog code, sorted that now so they should all be displayed as intended now.

Clients that are expecting

Sat in the bar in the very nice DeVere hotel ready to shoot Hannah and Rhys’s wedding tomorrow and I just realised I forgot to post a picture from last weeks great wedding in the Cotswold’s.

Sarah and Nolan were one of our very first wedding clients back in April 2007 and also good friends of ours so it was great to catch up with them at Jodie and Tony’s wedding and wonderful to see them looking so well as they wait for the arrival of their first child who is currently called Gizmo but maybe that name will change when the little one arrives.

I need to get to bed now so I am fresh for shooting but here’s a couple of pictures before I hit the sack, one from last weekend and a couple from Sarah and Nolan’s wedding back in April 2007.

Busy couple of weeks ahead

Last few weeks have been busy but the next few will be even busier starting from this evening, here’s some of the highlights of whats coming in the next few weeks but by no means everything we have to fit in.

Tonight – out for dinner with the day job colleagues at Jamie Olivers Restraunt in Oxford

Tomorrow – post processing in the morning, helping Jon and Danielle move house around lunch time, physio on the foot in the afternoon and then prepping ad packing up to travel up to the north west for the wedding we are shooting on Saturday.

Saturday – Shooting our friend Hannah and Rhys’s wedding.

Sunday – Travel back down to home in time for a client meeting in the afternoon, post processing work, blog posting the wedding etc.

and the week after….

Monday – Travelling to Spain for the day Job.

Tuesday – In Spain

Wednesday – In Spain then travelling home that night

Thursday – Back at the day job (only 3 days to go after this one!)

Friday – Packing up and flying to Croatia for Jon’s week long stag do aboard a 56 foot yacht, hopefully quite a few blog posts coming from that!

After the stag do its back to the day for just 3 days and then I am free to do photography full time, really looking forward to giving it the commitment it deserves!
