Bad weather isn’t always bad

The UK has seen its longest cold spell since 1979 and many regions have had quite a bit of snow this week (quite a bit by UK standards anyway) which has caused traffic chaos for many but its not all bad news, it does have a few benefits, its not very often that you get chance to Snowblade down your own street.

We dont do wedding videos ….

… we only do wedding photos, we think that we take nice wedding photos and the feedback that we get back from clients backs this up, but occasionally when a photography client is really stuck for video coverage or we are feeling like trying something new we have our arm twisted and agree to do some video coverage, the clip below is from some video coverage that we provided for Caroline and Martins great wedding at Ripon Cathedral last year.

Please don’t ask us to do video, we find it hard to say no to people and are definitely better at wedding photography than video!

Welcome to the new blog

Well if your reading this you have successfully found your way to our brand new blog, we really hope you like the new look and functions that we have been able to add with our move from a Blogger to WordPress, were really excited to have a lot more control over how this looks and functions and are looking forward to sharing lots more here in the coming months.

There’s still a bit of tweaking needed on some of the posts we have copied over from the old blog so if your seeing some missing content or broken links bear with us and hopefully we will have that sorted in the next few days, in the meantime I will take this opportunity to try out a new feature by sharing a little video of our nephew Toby from a trip we took to Hatton Country World last Friday.

Fireworks Shot Video

Following on swiftly from the slideshow of Saturdays below is another quick video we have put together for one of the photography communities we are part of to show us taking a specific shot, it was the first time we had shot fireworks at a wedding on Saturday so of course we had to do a quick video of that.

We sometimes shoot a bit of video footage during a wedding day for self analysis and also for sharing with other photographers that we communicate with, its a great way of sharing what you do and looking at what other people do and helps us all grow as photographers. Heres a little clip showing one of our favourite shots from a recent wedding, we always enjoy taking this Photograph and the guys always seem to enjoy trying to out jump each other.
