It’s always a great experience to hand over a new Queensberry Album to one of our wedding clients and this slide show really shows how much love they put into each and every album before its delivered to us.

Honeymoon Album

No wedding this weekend, just lots of post processing and a pre wedding shoot tomorrow so I thought I would share some photos of one of our honeymoon albums that I took before handing over at a recent wedding.

Even though this mini album only holds 10 small prints it can be quite challenging to download, edit, print and assemble the honeymoon album during the wedding day but the great feedback we get from clients about it definitely makes it worthwhile.

This is the album that we handed over to Katie and Chris during their great wedding at Ettington Park Hotel a few weeks ago.

The first 3 images are photos of the actual album itself and then the remaining images are exports of the layouts, hence the red centre line which obviously doesn’t appear in the finished album.

New Wedding Album added to our range

We love supplying Queensberry Wedding Albums, they are without doubt the best quality wedding albums in the world but obviously quality comes at a price and not everyone can afford that price or wants to pay that much for their wedding album.

For that reason and to cater for our clients who are having smaller weddings or weddings on a budget but still want awesome photographs in a quality album we have introduced a new budget minded wedding album that is printed and bound at the professional printing lab we use in Scotland.

You can have it in any cover colour you want so long as its black and it comes in one size with either 20 or 30 sides so you don’t get anything like the choice you get with Queensberry Wedding Albums which come in a multitude of sizes, materials, colours, layout styles etc but you do get a beautifully printed quality album at a great price.

The Honeymoon Album

The Honeymoon Album is an idea that we came up with after mine and Kate’s experience with our own wedding and something we have been providing to every client now since the very first few weddings that we covered.

9 years ago this coming August we had a wonderfully hot day up in Yarm in Teeside sharing a great day with our family and friends as Kate and I were married. The day went by so quickly though as every wedding day does and before we knew it we were more than 5,000 miles away in San Francisco for the start of our honeymoon tour around the west coast of America.

So there we were in San Francisco with all the sights on our list to see but guess what was our number one priority as soon as we got to the Hotel?

Forget the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island tour or even a ride on a famous San Francisco Tram, all these were on the list to tick off but came second place behind us finding a PC with Internet access to receive an email from Kate’s Dad with a few photos attached of our wedding day. These were then printed out (very badly I might add) on the only printer that was available at the hotel and carried with us for the 3 weeks we were away as a memory of our special day.

Talking to our married friends we soon realised that ours was a familiar tale, the need for a few photos after the wedding day in one form or another is definitely very common among bride and grooms and that’s the desire we aim to satisfy with our honeymoon album (in conjunction with our slide show and blog images, more on those in future posts).

Along with just about everyone these days we shoot digital and that allows us the quick turnaround of a few shots that is necessary for us to create the Honeymoon Album on the wedding day. So whilst our bride and grooms are sat down for the meal with their family and friends we’re busy downloading our memory cards to a Mac book, choosing 10 shots from the 100’s we have shot, adjusting them where necessary, applying effects and then printing them out to fix in one of our little 6 x 4 Honeymoon Albums.

Doing all this whilst the wedding breakfast is being served along with creating the slide show we show on the wedding day is a time pressured task but we love to hand the Honeymoon Albums over and the comments and feedback we get from our clients makes it all worthwhile.

This is the typical sort of comment we receive back from our Bride and Grooms regarding the Honeymoon Album.

The little black book of photos has been priceless. Ruth has looked at them pretty much most days (at least 3 times!) and they are a great way of showing the locals we are on our honey moon. Ruth and Daniel

Queensberry Albums

We love being a supplier of Queensberry Albums, not only are they without doubt one of the best companies we have the privilege of working with on anything (yes they really are that good) their albums are just beautifully crafted and its a real pleasure to hand them over to clients.

Our latest Queensberry album handover was slightly different to most of them as it was one of the very few occasions where the album wasn’t the best thing that had been delivered to our clients that week.

We shot Fiona and Paul’s wedding on the 7th June last year and when I collected their Queensberry album from the UPS depot a couple of weeks ago they were at the hospital getting a rather exciting delivery of their own.

Erin May Henshaw was born on the 21st March and we are absolutely thrilled for Fiona and Paul, we love it when our wedding clients have kids as we feel like we were involved at the start of something even more special.

Needless to say Paul and Fiona had their hands full for the first week of parenthood but when they called round a week later to collect their album new mummy and baby Erin looked to be doing great!

Here’s a few examples of the album layout followed by some pics I took of the actual album before we handed it over to Fiona and Paul.
